Welcome to the CERS Pension Calculator. CERS has developed this simple calculator which should be helpful when planning for your retirement. In order for members to get the most from this calculator, it has the flexibility to show what your projected benefits would be at retirement based on the current level of contributions to the Scheme and can show the benefit of paying Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs) either regularly or as a once off lump sum (or both). While the calculator is easy to use, assistance can be found by clicking on the information buttons below or by contacting CERS at (01) 407 1430. Please note, all figures produced by this calculator are for illustrative purposes only and are not guaranteed. Further details on the assumptions used can be found along with the results when you "Run Projection".

From 1 March 2021 changes are being made to some of the assumptions that must be used to calculate projected retirement funds and pensions. These changes are made in line with revised guidance from the Society of Actuaries in Ireland and apply to all pension providers in Ireland. From that date, the projections will be more conservative and the estimated pensions shown will therefore be lower than have been shown to date.

It is important to note that this change does not affect :
- how much has been or will be paid in to your retirement savings account,
- how your fund will grow
or
- your actual benefits and options at retirement.

This change only affects how we calculate the forecasts. When comparing the forecasts on your Annual Benefit Statement from last year to this year you will notice the lower projected amounts shown.
